Il treno fantasma – The ghost train

Le locomotive fantasma sui binari morti di Dorrigo, piccola città di montagna a sud di Brisbane. Il “Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum Limited” è un ambizioso progetto creato da un piccolo gruppo di appassionati del luogo. L’idea è di creare un museo contenete tutti i pezzi ferroviari utilizzati dalle ferrovie australiane. Attualmente sembra essere la più grande collezione al mondo si materiale rotabile. La cosa che mi ha incuriosito di più sono state le vecchie locomotive che sono state coperte di olio per preservarle dalla ruggine e dall’usura del tempo. L’olio nero è penetrato ovunque e il cado sole australiano lo ha cotto creando una rigida crosta di protezione.

L’effetto, soprattutto verso l’ora del tramonto, è quello di vedere un vero e proprio treno fantasma!

The ghost locomotives on the dead tracks of Dorrigo, a small town on the mountains south of Brisbane. The “Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum Limited” is an ambitious project that was created by a small group of fans of the place. The idea is to create a museum containing all the rail pieces rail by Australian Railways. Currently appears to be the largest rail stuff collection in the world. The thing that intrigued me were the old locomotives that were covered with oil to prevent rust. The black oil has penetrated everywhere and the hot Australian sun has baked creating a rigid crust of protection.

The effect, especially tduring the sunset, is to see a real ghost train!
